Hahei Beach New Zealand
As a popular site for some epic film, with more on the horizon, New Zealand has proven to be a local picture-perfect, often to the beach as the main attraction. Small settlement town serves as a gateway to the popular Whanganui-A-Hei (Cathedral Cove) Marine Reserve. Art galleries, accommodation, restaurants and souvenir shops are available in downtown, but most visitors come to relax on the pink sand, or dip their feet in natural hot springs at Hot Water Beach nearby. Visitors can even dig their own spa pool two hours on either side of low tide. If you want to do more than sit and watch the sunset, some water sports available at Hahei, including a beautiful boat trips, sea kayaking, and snorkeling.
Hahei is a beach paradise of pink sand and pure clear blue sea. Combined with a dynamic community life and unspoiled natural habitat, Hahei is the perfect place to recharge the “battery” and take a break from big city life.
The first place to start is in the water if you want to see the best Hahei has to offer. Protected from rough seas by remote islands, Hahei is a family a safe swimming beach. If you enjoy open water swimming, keep an eye out for a local swimming group who regularly meet on the beach. They welcome all swimmers, local and visitors, and if you’re lucky, you may find yourself swimming with the dolphins that visit the area from time to time.
